Setup Event Password

Ribbon bar. Select the View tab. In the Display group, click Events and from the menu, select Password to display the Setup Event Password dialog box.

Classic menus. From the View - Events submenu, select Password to display the Setup Event Password dialog box.

Use these options to enter a password to restrict access to editing document-level events (for the current document).

Current password. If the current document or application already contains a password, you will be required to type that password into the Current password box prior to changing it in the New password box. This is a security precaution permitting only those with the original password to be able to enter a new password.

New Password. Type your new password into the New password box. You will be required to reenter your new password in the Confirm new password box for verification. Note that if the New password box is left blank, the current document or application will be available to be edited by all users.

Confirm new password. After typing your new password in the New password box, reenter the password in the Confirm new password box to confirm it.

OK. Click the OK button to accept the changes made on the Setup Event Password dialog box.

Cancel. Click the Cancel button to close the dialog box. Any changes made on the Setup Event Password dialog box will be disregarded.
