2D Scatterplot - Frequency

Frequency scatterplots display the frequencies of overlapping points between two variables in order to visually represent data point weight or other measurable characteristics of individual data points. The program counts the frequencies of the overlapping points and categorizes those frequencies according to the number specified in the No of Freq option in the dialog (min=2, max=16). The sizes of the point markers in the plot are then adjusted to represent the frequencies. Note that if you are using a variable as a case weight (see Weight), then the point markers will automatically reflect those weights in the scatterplot. The point marker patterns can be changed in the Marker Properties dialog. The default point marker patterns and styles used in this graph can be adjusted in the Options - Graphs 1 tab.
