2D Scatterplot - Quantile

In quantile scatterplots, the quantiles of one variable are plotted against the quantiles of another variable in order to assess the similarity of the empirical distributions of the two variables. If the data points fall on the regression line, then it can be concluded that the two variables follow the same distribution.
