Purpose of Nonlinear Estimation

Click the OK button in the Nonlinear Least Squares Model Estimation dialog box to display the Nonlinear Least Squares Results dialog box, which contains four tabs: Quick, Advanced, Residuals, and Review.

Summary box. The Summary box at the top of the dialog displays a summary of your choices for the regression analysis, i.e., the regression model, dependent variable, loss function; proportion of variance accounted for by the model, R, independent variables, and final value.

Copy button. Click the Copy button to copy either the selected text (if text has been selected) in the Summary box or all of the text (if no text has been selected) to the Clipboard. Note that the copied text retains formatting information (such as font, color, etc.).

Contract/Expand button. Click the Contract/Expand button to contract or expand the Summary box. Note that when contracted the text is scrolled so that the first non-blank line is at the top. When expanded (the default setting), the entire Summary box will be displayed.

Summary. Click the Summary button to create a spreadsheet containing the parameter estimates for the current model. Summary statistics for the current analysis will be displayed in the spreadsheet header.

Cancel. Review your choices for the regression model in the Summary box (see above), and if you want to modify them, click the Cancel button to return to the User-Specified Regression, Least Squares dialog box in order to make changes.
