Ribbon bar. Select the Workbook tab and in the Items group, click Print Orientation to display the Workbook Item Print Orientation dialog box.

Classic menus. From the Workbook menu, select Item Print Orientation to display the Workbook Item Print Orientation dialog box.

Or, right-click on an item in a workbook and select Print Orientation from the short-cut menu to display the Workbook Item Print Orientation dialog box.

Orientation. When a workbook is created, all print orientations are Default, which means that each item inherits its orientation from its parent node. But, you can specify the print orientation of each item in a workbook individually.

If an item is specified as Portrait or Landscape, it will be printed as portrait or landscape irrespective of the setting of the parent node. If this item has child nodes, this same specification will have an effect on how the child nodes are printed (portrait or landscape).

If a child node has not been modified (i.e., its orientation is Default), it will print with the same orientation as its parent node. If a child node has been modified to Portrait or Landscape, the item will be printed with the portrait or landscape orientation irrespective of the parent node’s print orientation.

Default. This option button is selected by default. If it is not cleared, the item will be printed with the same orientation as the parent node.

Portrait. Select this option button to print the workbook item with the portrait orientation.

Landscape. Select this option button to print the workbook item with landscape orientation.

OK. After specifying print orientation, click the OK button to close this dialog box.

Cancel. Click the Cancel button to close this dialog box without changing the print orientation.
