Life Table & Distribution of Survival Times

Select Life tables & Distributions on the Survival and Failure Time Analysis Startup Panel - Quick tab and click OK to display the Life Table & Distribution of Survival Times dialog box, which contains two tabs: Raw data and Table of survival times.

Correct intervals containing no terminations/deaths. The Correct intervals containing no terminations/deaths check box determines whether intervals in which there are no deaths/terminations will be adjusted so that survival distributions can be fitted. Parameters cannot be computed for intervals where no deaths/terminations occur; by default (box is selected) the proportion surviving in those intervals is adjusted by Statistica (the proportion surviving is set to .5/number exposed). Do not select this box (do not adjust) when generating a life table for descriptive purposes only.

OK. Click the OK button to display the Life Table & Survival Time Distribution Results dialog box (or the standard variable selection dialog box if you have not already specified your variables).

Cancel. Click the Cancel button to close the dialog box without performing an analysis and return to the Survival and Failure Time Analysis Startup Panel.

Options. Click the Options button to display the Options menu.

Select Cases. Click the Select Cases button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Selection Conditions dialog box, which is used to create conditions for which cases will be included (or excluded) in the current analysis. More information is available in the case selection conditions overview and syntax summary.

W. Click the W (Weight) button to display the Analysis/Graph Case Weights dialog box, which is used to adjust the contribution of individual cases to the outcome of the current analysis by "weighting" those cases in proportion to the values of a selected variable.
