Brushing (analytic)
in the QC Charts Module
In many situations you can use a brushing
technique to explore your data graphically by assigning different point
labels or temporarily removing points from the graph. Typically, you may
want to use this technique in a scatterplot
or scatterplot matrix.
Note that a general brushing mode is available
for any STATISTICA graph that
can be explored in the described manner.
However, you can also apply brushing in the context of
quality control. The Interactive Quality Control module includes specific brushing features that allow you to
examine statistics or assign/remove causes and actions for individual
samples (see Assignable
Causes and Actions). You can also use this technique for excluding
individual samples or ranges of samples from the computation of the control
chart parameters (center line and control limits).
